VIVA is a centralized depository for veterinarians' credentials and a source of verified data for Boards to learn about licensed veterinarians. The VIVA database includes licensure and disciplinary information as well as national veterinary examination scores.

VIVA Score Transfers
AAVSB sends an official score report to the jurisdiction you request, in the form they require. The score report includes NBE, CCT, NAVLE and VTNE scores. All examination scores are included on the report. The application can be completed electronically or downloaded to print.

VIVA Credentials Service
AAVSB will collect license verifications and veterinary school transcripts required by member boards for veterinary licensure, and transfer it to any veterinary licensing board you request. Compiling a complete credentials packet normally takes 5 to 7 weeks and includes an official national licensing exam score report.
If you are interested in AAVSB’s credentials service please complete the Credentials Application and submit the following documents:
1. An original or certified copy of your birth certificate or a notarized copy of your passport
2. IF your name is different from your passport or birth certificate, a notarized copy of your marriage license or a notarized copy of your divorce decree or a notarized copy of your name-change document.
3. Print and complete the Affidavit for Release of Information.
AAVSB must receive your documents before service is initialized. Credentials service is completed 5-7 weeks after receipt of required documents. Credentials requests CANNOT be expedited. Please send your documents to:

To request an Update and Transfer of your previously registered credentials, you must:

Mail a signed Affidavit and Release Form to AAVSB. Note: You do not need to resubmit the other previously provided documents.
