NAVLE through California

Veterinary Examination Eligibility Review (VEER)
Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited veterinary school OR must be set to graduate from an accredited veterinary school within 8 months following the close of the NAVLE testing window.
  • If a graduate of an accredited school, AAVSB must receive a copy of your transcript, sent directly from the school, to the AAVSB.
  • If a graduate of a non-accredited school, must have a certificate of completion from ECFVG or enrolled and eligible in the PAVE program.
    • ECFVG candidates must also submit a final transcript and diploma, sent directly from the school, to the AAVSB. A certified translation by a recognized translation service is required for documents in languages other than English.

NOTE: Current ECFVG candidates may NOT apply for NAVLE eligibility through California. Applicants who hold a certificate of completion from ECFVG are eligible.


Step 1:


Complete and submit the AAVSB online veterinary examination eligibility review application and pay the $50 fee for the California NAVLE.


The April 2018 California NAVLE eligibility application will be open:
December 1, 2017 through February 1, 2018.


Official transcripts and/or letter of academic standing should be sent directly from the veterinary school to the AAVSB:

Step 2:


Complete and submit ICVA (formerly NBVME) NAVLE application & fee to the ICVA:

Please note there is a California Waiver Page - Consent Statement per the ICVA NAVLE application requirements.


Eligible Nov-Dec 2017 CA NAVLE candidates will receive final exam eligibility information from ICVA.
