VIVA is a centralized depository for veterinarians' credentials and a source of verified data for Boards to learn about licensed veterinarians. The VIVA database includes licensure and disciplinary information as well as national veterinary examination scores.

AAVSB sends an official score report to the jurisdiction you request, in the form they require. The score report includes NBE, CCT, NAVLE and VTNE scores. All examination scores are included on the report. The application can be completed electronically or downloaded to print. Online score transfer requests normally take 2 to 5 business days to process. Applications submitted by fax or mail or with examination dates prior to 1984 may take longer.

AAVSB will collect documentation required by member boards for veterinary licensure, and transfer it to any veterinary licensing board you request. Compiling a complete credentials packet will take 3 - 5 weeks and includes an official national licensing exam score report.

Mail a signed Affidavit and Release Form to AAVSB.  Note: You do not need to resubmit the other previously provided documents.

This is for applicants who would like to register for the NAVLE through California. If you have already taken the NAVLE, please complete the score transfer application above.

NOTE: ECFVG candidates may NOT apply for the NAVLE eligibility through California. All other states accept applications from ECFVG candidates.

Application for the NAVLE through California is a two step process:
1) You must complete the application for Eligibility Review listed below. The deadline to complete the application for NAVLE Eligibility for the April 2009 testing window is January 3, 2009.

2) You also must complete the NAVLE application through the NBVME. It is available at www.nbvme.org now. The NBVME NAVLE application deadline is January 3, 2009.
