About RACE Programs
A program provides an educational event where participants receive a CE upon completion, through the roster upload and/or a physical certificate, whether the event is live or on-demand. Consequently, the committee calculates the RACE program application fees based on the total hours of programming submitted for review. For programs offering multiple sessions, such as a conference, fees are based on the total hours available, not the hours attended by an individual participant.
Programs are approved for two years from the approval date and may be repeated during the approval period. Variations in program content and/or the number of CE hours are considered different programs; therefore, they must be submitted as new Program Application(s).
Application and Review Process
- The RACE Standards document is used by the RACE Committee to review program applications.
- Review the RACE Standards before starting the provider application process and submitting the application.
- It is the RACE Provider’s responsibility to ensure the program complies with RACE Standards.
- All program applications must include a completed RACE Course Attachment, a resume-style CV for each instructor, and a Certificate of Attendance Example.
Policies
- If a program has more than 25 presenters, please submit the Presenter Qualification Sheet instead of uploading individual CVs.
- Up to five instructors may be added to an already approved program. When an additional instructor is added, please email [email protected] with the instructor’s name and program number.
- When creating your program’s Certificate of Attendance, please refer to the AAVSB’s sample to ensure your certificate includes all fields listed on the example.
- All programs submitted 45 calendar days or less before the projected offering date are subject to a late fee. The projected offering date is submitted on page five of the RACE program application. REMINDER – The late fee is not a rush fee and does not guarantee that your program will be reviewed faster than our average processing time.
- Course type definitions can be found on page one of the RACE program application. RACE does not offer bulk uploads; all programs should fit into one of the predetermined course types.
